Melanin-rich skin should never be an afterthought.
WHY I SPECIALIZE IN MELANIN-RICH SKIN
I built my practice around the belief that people of color deserve skincare that starts with their skin in mind, not skincare that treats them like an exception to the rule.
MY FOCUS
Healthy skin, thoughtful correction, and a plan that respects your skin from the beginning.
I was the client trying to figure my skin out too.
BEFORE I BECAME AN ESTHETICIAN
Before I ever worked professionally in skincare, I was learning my own skin. It took time, trial and error, and an esthetician who was willing to research, adjust, and learn with me before I saw the kind of results I had been looking for.
That experience stayed with me. I know what it feels like to need someone who does not assume your skin will respond the same way as everyone else's.
When I went to esthetics school, that feeling became even stronger. I saw how little space was given to the complexity of darker skin tones, and how often Fitzpatrick types IV, V, and VI were treated like a small category instead of a huge range of real people with different concerns, sensitivities, histories, and goals.
Different skin deserves a more thoughtful approach.
MELANIN CHANGES THE CONVERSATION
PIGMENTATION MATTERS
Dark marks can linger long after the original breakout or irritation is gone. I take that risk seriously when I choose products and treatments.
BARRIER HEALTH COMES FIRST
Correction is not worth it if the process creates unnecessary irritation. I would rather build slowly than damage your skin chasing fast results.
STRONGER IS NOT AUTOMATICALLY BETTER
I do not treat aggressiveness like a badge of honor. Your skin's tolerance, response, and long-term health matter more than how intense a treatment sounds.
That does not mean melanin-rich skin is fragile or difficult. It means I pay attention to how inflammation, pigmentation, barrier health, and treatment intensity can affect your skin over time.
I want you to know what we are doing and why.
Every corrective client gets a personalized plan that connects home care, professional treatments, and a realistic timeline.
STEP 1
Your Concerns
What are you actually trying to change?
STEP 2
Skin Health
Barrier condition, sensitivities, contraindications, and tolerance.
STEP 3
Essentials
The foundation your skin needs most.
STEP 4
Next Steps
Add targeted support when your budget and skin are ready.
STEP 5
Facial Road Map
Professional treatments chosen around your home routine.
STEP 6
Reassess
Adjust based on your response, progress, and goals.
TIER 1
The Essentials
The products and steps that create your foundation. If this is where your budget needs to stay for now, that is still a real plan.
TIER 2
Enhance
Targeted products that build on your foundation and help address additional concerns or speed up progress.
TIER 3
Amplify
The fuller version of your routine, built after the groundwork is already in place.
YOUR PERSONAL SKINCARE ROAD MAP
WHERE FACIALS FITProfessional treatments are part of the plan, not the entire plan.
Once your home care is established, I can use in-office treatments more intentionally because I know what your skin is doing between appointments.
Standard Facials
Your starting point. These let me assess your skin, support barrier health, and establish a baseline before moving into stronger correction.
Advanced Facials
For clients who already have a consistent routine and need more targeted exfoliation or corrective work.
Chemical Peels
The deepest level of correction I offer. Your skin health, home care, treatment history, and timing all matter before I move forward.
WHY I USE CIRCADIA
I want continuity between what happens in my treatment room and what you use at home.
Circadia is one of the professional skincare systems I use because its philosophy centers on supporting the skin through its natural day and night rhythms, including daytime protection and nighttime repair.
I use professional-grade products because I want reliable options I can work with in the treatment room and recommend at home when they make sense for your skin. That does not mean every product you own has to come from me. The goal is a routine that works.
THE BIGGER PICTURE“This is a commitment to your skin, not a sprint to a finish line.”
Once you start seeing results, that does not mean the routine suddenly stops mattering. Maintenance is still part of the work. I adjust the plan with you based on what your skin needs and what feels sustainable long term.
