HOW IT WORKS
Bamboo charcoal acts like a magnet for everything clogging your pores. It pulls out bacteria, absorbs the excess oil that feeds breakouts, and begins breaking down the congestion sitting beneath the surface. The mask activates into a hydrating milk consistency on contact, so it is detoxifying and clearing without stripping or drying out your skin.

Oxygen is generated directly on your skin through a two-part activation system. A gel base is mixed with a powder, applied immediately, and activated in stages. Keep it simple. For the first 24 hours, skip your actives. No exfoliants, no retinol, nothing aggressive. Let the treatment do its job without interruption.
Avoid direct sun exposure and apply SPF every morning without exception. This is non-negotiable for acne skin, and especially for melanin-rich skin where UV exposure triggers pigmentation directly.
You will leave with a written homecare plan specific to your skin. Follow it. The treatment works best when what you do at home supports what we do in the room.

Not necessarily. The C2O2 protocol is specifically designed to address acne without stripping or over-drying the skin. The Charcoal Milk Mask detoxifies while the Olive Squalane maintains your barrier throughout. The Oxygen Rx is anti-inflammatory, not irritating.
That said, if your barrier is currently compromised, meaning your skin is reactive, raw, or you have been over-exfoliating, we may need to start with a calming protocol first and work up to the C2O2. I will assess your skin at the appointment and be honest with you about what it can handle that day. I will never push through a treatment your skin is not ready for.

Yes. Active breakouts are not a reason to wait. In fact, this is exactly when the Oxygen Rx is most effective. The treatment targets active acne bacteria directly and reduces inflammation in real time.
The only time we need to pause is if you have open, broken skin or visible inflammatory lesions that are severely inflamed. If you are unsure about your skin's current state, text me a photo before you book and I will tell you honestly whether now is the right time or if we need to wait a week.

Some clients experience a purge in the first one to two weeks after starting corrective acne treatment. This is not the treatment making things worse. It is your skin pushing existing congestion to the surface faster than it would have on its own. It means the treatment is working.
Not everyone purges. It depends on how much congestion is already sitting beneath the surface. I will let you know what to expect based on your skin after your first appointment, and I am always reachable if something feels off between visits.

Yes. The C2O2 protocol is formulated and tested for all skin types and tones. Melanin-rich skin is actually one of the primary audiences this treatment was built for, because acne in deeper skin tones carries a higher risk of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation. Come with clean skin if possible. No makeup is ideal but not required. Avoid waxing the face within five days of your appointment.
Stop using Vitamin A, retinol, or retinoid products four weeks before your treatment. If you have had a chemical peel recently, let me know because we need to wait at least four weeks before proceeding.
Do not use glycolic acid products in the week leading up to your appointment. If you are currently on antibiotics, topical or oral, or currently on Accutane, this treatment is not appropriate right now. Text me and we can figure out the right timing for your situation.
